Subjects Taught
First Grade, Second Grade

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education at Dalton State College. I recieved my English for Speakers of Other Languages endorsement from Dalton State College as well. While at Dalton State, I was a member of the honors educator club Kappa Delta Pi,  was membership chair of the Future Educator's Club, and President of the Student Georgia Association of Educators' Club. I recieved the Dalton State Leadership award for the School of Education in 2012.

This is my sixth year teaching in the Hamilton County system. I have taught First grade for the past five years, and am now taching Second grade. The change in grade levels allows me to learn and grow from new challenges. It also allows me to further my educational practice by working with new content. I am looking forward for what the school year brings.

I grew up in a small mountain town located in North Georgia. I love music! I joined the school band in sixth grade and stayed with the school band for six and half years. My favorite instrument to play was the xylophone. I was also part of the Fine Arts club in high school. Being a part of both band and the Fine Arts club gave me a great opportunity to visit many different places and explore museums.
