I attended the University of Georgia and achieved my first Bachelor of Arts degree in the language of Spanish in 1997.  I then went back to school at Dalton State College in 2008 to 2010 and achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Elementary.  During this time I also achieved my endorsement to teach ESOL. I have been teaching for 4 years and have been at East Lake Elementary school all 4 years.

Upon graduating from college, I worked in Special Education for 4 years.  During this time, I worked with elementary age students with varying special needs to include Autism, Down's Syndrome, and Traumatic Brain Injury.  Since being hired here in Hamilton County in 2014, I have worked at Eastlake Elementary as an ESOL teacher working with grades 1, and 2.
