Education

I received my Bachelors Degree at Eastern Michigan University. My major was Mathematics for Elementary Education and my minor was Teaching Integrated Science. I recently received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from University of Tennessee - Chattanooga.

Experience

I began my teaching career in October 2012. I was a substitute teacher for Hamilton County until March 2013. For the remainder of the 12-13 school year and the 13-14 school year, I taught sixth grade at Orchard Knob Middle School. After teaching sixth grade, I began working at East Lake Elementary as a fifth grade literacy and social studies teacher. I am now teaching 4th grade here.

Bio

I grew up in a suburb near Detroit, Michigan. After I graduated from Eastern Michigan University, I moved to Chattanooga to be near my husband's family. My husband and I met in high school and married in July 2014. We do not have any kids, but we do have two dogs. They are corgi-lab mixes and we rescued them a couple years ago. During my free time, I love to read, hike, and be with my friends and family.
