I graduated from Bearden High School in Knoxville, Tennessee in 2010. Then, I attended the University of Tennessee Chattanooga where I received my degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education with a middle grades endorsement.

While I was in college, I worked at Chambliss Center for Children where I worked as an assistant teacher in their Pre-K aftercare program for Hamilton County students. I absolutely loved it! I learned so much from the children, my co-workers, and my experiences. It truly strengthened my desire to teach and molded me into who I am today. In addition to this, I have spent a lot of time tutoring and nannying for a few families.

This is my third year teaching and my third year at East Lake! My first two years were in kindergarten and this year I will be in first grade! I am thrilled to have some of the same students again and get to meet the new ones! I am truly blessed to be working with so many great co-workers, parents, and children!

I lived my entire life in Knoxville, Tennessee, until I decided to attended UTC. I originally wanted to pursue a career in Physical Therapy, so I could stay involved in sports after playing basketball, volleyball, softball, and track most of my life. But, I quickly realized that the medical field was not for me, and I went back to my second grade dream of being a teacher because of my love for school, passion for learning, and joy for kids. I fell in love with Chattanooga, and after graduation I decided to stay.
