Parents/Guardians and Students,

Well, we made it through our first Nine-weeks. Hopefully we had some fun and got some exercise. Just wanted to let everyone know what we have going on in P.E. this Nine-weeks. We have just finished our bowling unit which has been a lot of fun. Next up is a little bit of basketball to practice for our Task Performance or skill test for this second Nine-weeks. Those tasks for each grade level are as follows: 5th grade - Shoot a lay-up, 4th grade - Overhead pass, 3rd grade - Bounce pass, 2nd grade - Dribble while traveling, 1st grade - Dribble stationary, and K- gallop and slide. We will be taking these skill tests at the end of the Nine-weeks.

If you want to practice these skills at home I'm sure it would be a big help. As always, if you have any questions about P.E., feel free to come by and talk to me.

Also, a little note for our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students, we will be doing our Pacer Test soon. This test is a great way to measure our aerobic fitness level. We want to make sure we're spending plenty of time being active at home. Activity makes us healthier and happier so let's keep moving.
