Hello, My Name Is...

Beatrice Joyner

I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics with a concentration in Foreign Language Pedagogy through the University of Massachusetts in Boston. I graduated from Lee University in 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science in Human Development (Early Childhood Education) and Elementary Education with minors in TESOL, Spanish, and Religion.

I taught English and Math in Razal, Philippines for three months.

I was a substitute teacher in Palm Beach County, FL before coming to East Lake.

I had to opportunity to teach fourth grade at East Brainerd Elementary with 21st Century in Summer 2017.

This Summer, I worked for the Read to Be Ready Summer Program here at East Lake Elementary in Summer 2018.

This is my fourth year teaching and my third year as an ESOL teacher.

I was born and raised in a small town in South Florida all of my life. I moved to Tennessee to attend Lee University for college. After college, I moved back home until I received the opportunity to become an ESOL teacher here at East Lake Elementary.
